I have had many requests to once again produce a video resource on the BUSS4 research topic. So once again this year I have put something together for you which should be a useful resource to get you thinking about the concepts that are covered in this topic of e-commerce. This resource is not going to give you all the answers and do all of the research for you, as this is something best done yourself to give yourself the best possible chance of success in the exam.

BUSS4 Manufacturing in the UKAfter many requests I have finally got round to producing and releasing my AQA BUSS4 Manufacturing in the UK presentation.

This has been designed to be a useful introduction to the research topic and should be used alongside your own research. It should be a useful tool for a starting point to think about the synoptic links that can be made and some of the issues linked to the research theme of manufacturing in the UK.

You can view the view by clicking the link below.

Exam Revision Tips / GuideThere is one topic that I get asked quite a few questions about from students everywhere. Yes this site may focus on Business Studies however most of the concepts and information in this video guide can be applied to any subject that you are sitting, regardless of it is a BTEC, GCSE, AS Level or A2 Level exam.

This short video has been filmed to share some ideas on how to ensure that you maximise your potential in your exams. This had been produced alongside Mr Hardman who is also sharing his thoughts and tips and tricks when it comes to that period which many students fear. We also look at the topic of mock exams and explain why we feel they are important and add value to your learning process.

This video isn't going to do the exam for you and guarantee success, however it should help to ensure you start to feel better and more confident about your exams.

BBE Exam StructureIf you find answering exam questions difficult and you don't really understand some of the other evaluation techniques that you may have covered, then the BEE Structure could be for you.

It has been designed to be a simple approach that you can use when tackling evaluative questions. It will work at all levels and subjects, however here the focus is the most important subject of Business!

Firstly in any question define the key terms and show your business knowledge.

Then use some evidence to explain the points that you are making, ensuring that you answering the question that is set.

Finally, ensure that you are evaluating the points that you are making. You need to show both sides to any point you are making and ensure that you provide a conclusion at the end of your answer.

formulasAs you will probably be aware you need to learn and know a range of formulas to help you tackle the BUSS1 exam that you will be taking. These formulas could be the difference between you achieving an A grade or a B grade, so they are well worth spending the time revising and learning.

Watch the video below and ensure the activity. Keep attempting this until you get all of the formulas correct. Don't cheat as you will only be cheating yourself.

You probably like using a highlighter when it comes to working on the exam case study, however you are not being examined on the skill of how nice your case study is going to look.

If you think logically you will actually highlight most of the case study given they are written to cover as many areas of the course as possible. So what makes more sense is to annotate your case study as you go along, looking for links to subject topics and content that you have covered. This should then make it easier to pull this knowledge together when you require it for a question and you can make better, more applied points showing good linkages of the subject knowledge.

My tips for the exam would be:

1.     Read the case study (quickly)

2.     Skim read the questions on the exam paper

3.     Read and now annotate your case study (take about 5 mins to complete this)

4.     Now answer the questions and refer back to the points that you will have already drawn out from the case study.

Remember if you can perform any calculations from the data, quickly do this, as using this in an answer (where relevant) will instantly show the use of application.
